It's an extra fortification to the toothpaste for cats I use. Just checked her mouth today and her gums are light pink and healthy! I never in a million years thought you could brush a cats teeth but with daily perseverance you can. She actually enjoys getting her teeth brushed now and will come over to me when she hears me getting the brush ready. Also very good that there is no mint or smell to this because that would not pass with her. Cats hate mint.

I have to admit I was skeptical but got it for my little dog (14 lbs) since her teeth are rotting out of her head. I know that sounds bad but I spent $4000 on her mouth already from a fractured tooth and that was money I didn't have. Then she decided once again to chew on a big dog bone ( i have Dobermans) and she broke another tooth yet once again. This time I just couldn't swing the money so I got some antiseptic and brushed her teeth daily to reduce the infection. Some teeth did fall out but then more teeth starting coming loose so I bought PFFBF for her and I tried it out on my teeth first to see what happened. The stain from hard water lifted with one application and I was impressed. I think you do need to brush and get the gunk off but this product does loosen the plaque and hard inorganic mineral deposits! My dog doesn't mind the spray on her teeth and it just feels like warm water with no taste. If you look at the photo you can see the tartar looks like soft paste instead of hard deposits so I recommend to brush or give a suitable chewing object for your dog's size. The remaining teeth seem to have stabilized from infection from the silver.

My 14 yr old dog had pretty bad breath. I used the breath freshener and after 2 days (twice a day). Her breath was nowhere near as bad.
I would of gave it more stars if it had a flavor dogs like. After the second time using it I had to lift her lips up to spray it in her mouth.
